A Day in the Life of Paolo
I live in the
Morningside Heights in Manhattan. I live about a block away from the second biggest cathedral in the world: The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine.Every day I rush too the school bus, which comes at 8:00. When I get to P.S. 9 (my school) I don’t immediately go to the lunchroom like other kids do, but I go up to the library, to fix computers, clean and help kids to read. I’m in the library squad. When two bells ring, it means it’s time to go to my class.
In school my favorite subject is math, which I am super good at.
Of course, my least favorite is test prep, for the
City Wide Math and Reading tests. We do it for about 2 hours a day. Since math is my favorite subject, shouldn’t I like math test prep? Completely wrong. Math test prep is practically NO math. The math is really easy, but the "explain your answer part" is really annoying, and you have to have to do it for every little question!I love chess. I take after school at ps9for chess at PS9. I'm in the
US chess federation I go to local and far away (like Kansas or Texas) tournaments. This year, I am even going to a far away chess tournament in Kansas. It is called the Super Nationals.Any way, near my school there are many cool places, like the Ansonia,
Central Park, the New York Historic Society The American Museum of Natural History and much more.My favorite sport is soccer, and my favorite team is an Italian called
"La Fiorentina" which is the team from Florence, Italy. My favorite player is Battistuta which unfortunately moved from La Fiorentina to Roma, the Rome team. These are things that I like and are even part of my everyday life.
ENJOY!
